Mildly disappointed
Feb. 25th, 2004 11:48 pmWell, I was all ready to ream out Rogers for my cable not working (it's been down for a few days) when all of a sudden, back up again. Odd.
Shockingly little going on in Bitterville these days. Work wears me down like a five year old indentured labourer's fingers on one of those industrial revolution era machines that were so handy for small hands.
Saw Lost in Translation w/ Snra. Bitter & the Z's. Interesting film. We were grabbing dinner before they left for Montreal, and someone brought up seeing a movie. I was going to propose watching one of the infiniate films we own that haven't been watched (okay, not infinite, just too high. How I long for summer's barren TV months). The idea of going to the rep theatre on Burnamthorpe was floated, and since I had a paper and could confirm, yes, it was showing there, off we went.
Z noted that the screen in the theatre was only slightly larger than their tv. It was, in fact, probably not more than 2x as large, but they do have a big fucking tv. I was reminded of seeing There's Something about Mary w/![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mr_weasel at the lamented Eaton's Centre cinemas. WIth a comfier chair, it would have been JUST like watching it at home.
Once again, interesting movie. The characters are cyphers (oh, they're both people in another country! He's an actor, she's a newly-wed whose husband has a carreer!), but it does look pretty.
And isn't it kind of odd that there's a country that has a tech axiom at least a point above the rest of the world, but still has politicians driving around in trucks with loudspeakers on them?
Got to wake up this morning to find the shoelaces absconded with by Los Gatos. In the centre of pools of cat vomit!

Universal Pictures has added a little film called Serenity to its coming soon films. Comments about the sky not being taken are being withheld at this time.
