So, when I woke up this morning, I noticed that the house was a bit chilly. It being Sunday, I just crawled back under the covers and assumed the furnace hadn't come on for the day yet.

Nope. Cynra came back up and told me that the furnace hadn't come on for the day becauses the pilot light was off. After contacting Union Energy, we learned that they couldn't come by until tomrrow because we have a fireplace in the living room. That'll do us lots of good when we're trying to sleep, of course.

On the other hand, actually, we have an electric blanket, so that'll help. .

Visited the MPL yesterday to pick up some stuff, and wandered over to the Graphic Novel section for some Reads. Got 300, Miller's handjob to Reason and Democracy (aka military oligarchies). Beautiful, as always. The movie will be an interesting thing, as it looks like yet another director has decided to use Miller as his storyboarder.

Also got a copy of Eisner's New York Life in the Big City. From what I can see, it's a compilation of several books, including New York, the Building, City People Notebook, and Invisible People. Each of them has several stories within them. I like the full page sketches of streets. Not specific streets, but types of streets: angry streets, empty streets, and sad streets.

Not a terribly cheerful book, of course, but that's life in the big city.
