Hoo'd Win: I hate old white men

Based on possibly apocryphal statements from Christopher Lee and Anthony Hopkins.

You know who these characters are. Don't deny it.

Simple logic really.

Dracula could have killed the hobbits. The hobbits beat Saruman.

Hannibel Lecter could have taken Van Helsing's group, and they beat Dracula, so Hannibal Lecter could take Dracula.

Although I love Christopher Lee Dracula more that a lot, he always ended up getting chumped-out by the dim but brave hero. Oh, forgot about sunlight/running water/my stake, didn't you!

Of course, we always knew he'd be back.

I can't see Hannibal, the supreme intellectual-as-killer, not being able to prey upon Dracula's many weaknesses.

1) "I am the King of my kind."

2) If Dracula drains Dooku, then Dracula can be a Vampire Sith, the implications of which are mind-boggling.

3) If Dracula drains Saruman, then he gains a vast army of Uruk-Hai in addition to controlling wolves, bats, and other creatures of the night. The question isn't can Dracula take Saruman, the question is can Dracula take Sauron, because he's next up the food chain.

4) Hannibal Lector is clever and ruthless and creepy, but he can't turn into smoke or climb sheer walls like Spider-Man, not to mention super strength, a bunch of bloodsucking bride minions, and the ability to suck the life out of someone.

See, if it was anything other than the Dracula of the Christopher Lee/Hammer Films I'd totally agree with you. However the Hammer Dracula is routinely out-thunk (sic), out-manuevered, and out fought by "mere mortals."

I still love those films though.

Doug.

You have a solid point there - this is the same Dracula that was bested by a pair of crossed candlesticks and some drapes pulled down.

The same Dracula that was held in place on a frozen pond by running water and then trapped under ice (cue Metallica song).

Yeah, he's not the most butch of the bloodsuckers.

Lecter can take Dracula under the same principle that explains why Batman can take Superman. 'nuff said. 8)

In the first bout, Dracula's not even a contender. Saruman and Dooku are about evenly matched in the Toss People Around Telekinetically sweepstakes, but Dooku has all that wire-fu going for him, PLUS Force Lightning, PLUS -- and this is the Decider -- a LIGHTSABRE. What's Saruman gonna do, parry the 'sabre with his STICK?

In the second bout, Lecter wins. Dracula always loses, Lecter always wins. It's inherent in their nature.

Time will tell....

Technically, Dracula could win both bouts by doing absolutely nothing. He's immortal. He can just wait for all of the other contenders to die of old age, then dance a merry jig on their graves. Assuming Dracula dances a merry jig about anything.

Having said that, I chose Saruman in the first bout, mainly because I got him and Sauron mixed up AGAIN. Gotta go with Dracula for the second unless he gives Hannibal the chance to talk to him - if he's not quick on the chomping then old Mr Cannibal would probably have him chewing his own veins within 10 minutes, and switching to vegetarianism within 20.

Ahh, I get confused all the time. It's a side effect of the medications. Or the electroconvulsive therapy. Or something.
