Anyone who knew about Team Epic and didn't tell me?

You're fired.

Now, I can't watch it here at work, but I will.

I post this primarily because I think [livejournal.com profile] noizangel will get a kick out of it. The Onion's AV Club reviews Joe Eszterhas' Die, Hollywood, Die!.

The review is amusing, detailing as it does Eszterhas roman candle like exit from the Hollywood scene.

I watched Showgirls for about 10 minutes on Saturday night. I was really interested in it for a while, but then I wasn't interested anymore. A little later, I became interested in it again, but then I wasn't interested again.

Does anyone have a link to the "no duh" piece where they discussed how Indiana Jones destroying an ancient temple to recover a gold figure is bad archeology?

Hirst Arts Fantasy Architecture has a DIY guide to Building the descent board game pieces in a 3D format.

That's just beautiful.

Okay, so, apparently Grand & Toy office supplies has decided to rebrand themselves as G&T, counting on alcoholic office managers to send them more business, I guess.

They're a useful store, I guess, if you have some cash to spend and you have some office supplies you need.

But, seriously, that name. It's just MEAN. You know what it's like to be a child and go into one of these brightly lit store and wander around while dad gets a box of pens and wonder "seriously, I see all this Grand stuff, but where's the toys?"

Utter cruelty on the part of the corporation.

Jeapordy God King Ken Jennings makes a MODOK joke. That's just awesome.

So, does thinking you're a ninja make you insane, or do insane people think they're ninjas?

Science may be able to see the answer.

bedroom toys

I have no idea how I remember half of this stuff. All Your Base, that was seven or eight years ago, wasn't it?

Isn't calling it "Internet Culture" a bit grandiose, though? Isn't the proper term, say, "Internet Trivia"?

so, [livejournal.com profile] styrofoam_guy, can you build one of these?

[livejournal.com profile] texaslawchick told me it existed, so I owe her a beer.

Reaction to scantily clad cheerleaders at Cricket match reveals rift within Indian society.

Look, if you can disturb an Uzbekh cheerleader, you need to step back, a'ight?

Although I am amused at the fact they have cheerleaders at a cricket match, but not surprised. Those things are deathly dull.

Dear God.

First Ben Stein compares Darwinists to Nazis, now the Texans are using Gestapo tactics.

Is there no debate he won't Godwin?

The WORST?

Entertainment Weekly does a piece that asks the question few others have dared: Is Uwe Boll Cinema's Worst Director?

He may not be that bad, but Lord, he sure isn't good.

I reserve judgement until I see Postal.

Apparently Penn "Lazy Feet" Jillete's partner Teller has put on a production of Macbeth, as can only be done by an illusionist (unless you consider every actor an illusionist of some stripe).

[livejournal.com profile] chadu took in a performance, and shares his thoughts. Warning, there are spoilers.

For people who didn't go to high school.

Due to Flash issues here at work, I wasn't able to visit Clown Travel Agency after [livejournal.com profile] gamera_spinning mentioned it yesterday, but if I had I would have found out that there was, in fact, one in Toronto.

According to empireonline the Bags at each location contained a brightly coloured bowling ball and a cell phone and charger.

Nice swag if you can get it, I guess.

If Chinese Democracy gets released in '08, Dr. Pepper will give everyone in America a Dr. Pepper.

Man, now I'm actually excited by the idea of the album coming out (although Dr. Pepper is much more optimistic about the album than Monte is.)

I'd turn it into a road trip.

The Rant du Jour has made Fandom Wank.

It is good, like seeing the sun rise.

You know what surprises me? That there's no Legolas/Kirk slash.

I mean, we KNOW that Kirk goes for guys with pointy ears, right?

You know what I love? Torontoist.com's Reel Toronto articles.

They've covered films such as Short Circuit 2, Undercover Brother, and American Psycho, detailing how to spot their TO roots.

It's quite delightful.
