To prove I had too much time on my hands in the past, I apparently wrote a review of Fandom II ten years and a bit ago.

If I could, I'd rewrite it as it's pretty loose and has some strange sentence structure, but the store still rocks. At least one of the owners has retired, and I haven't been there in at least half the time, but I've never seen anyone be unhappy visiting the store.

One of my favourite game stores, period.

A store very similar in tone and selection (but with more toy soldiers ... go figure) is The Toy Soldier in Sydney (Oz, not NS). It was almost a frisson-spawning deja-vu moment. As I compulsively visit game stores when I travel, I'll be checking it out again next month.

Next time I get downtown, I am visiting that store again. Been nearly a month, and I keep meaning to phone'em to let'em know I haven't forgotten them!

Man, that was just so weird to read a review, and to see your current thoughts here, about Fandom II.

Perhaps if you come up to Ottawa for CanGames, you'll go into Fandom II again (although they do have a presence at the convention as well)?
