Exciting day yesterday, yes. After breakfast, [livejournal.com profile] atomiks came by to help me go bike shoppin'. We looked at a model, and thought it looked good, and then the salesman came out with the exact same model, but a couple years old. [livejournal.com profile] atomiks gave it a once over to make sure it looked 'legit' (ie not turned over) and we picked it up for a lot less than the newer version.

I picked up some Spandex bits and a helmet and will be taking it out for a spin today.

We went down to [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel's Milton Office to kibbitz and hang out a bit and have some pizza for lunch. Pizza is good.

After he left, we headed down to the SLC for The Frantics: Still a disappointment to their parents. Very enjoyable. They're a very strong live group, and they must have done three variations on Heaven is for Presbytarians. And, this time, there was a Mr. Canoehead sketch. Yay! And a live "I Shit a Piece of Pie".

I also got a signed LP of Boot to the Head. How the heck do you display something like that?

We grabbed some nachos afterwards, and then home, to bed!

Wow.

Okay, I've never read any of his stuff, but after something [livejournal.com profile] cargoweasel mentioned, I looked up The Wodehouse Society.

I'm just wondering if [livejournal.com profile] pyat has his membership yet.

Because, upon looking at Nicotine girls, I noticed that A) physical combat was done via the Fear motivation, and B) you gained Fear by having unfortunate events happen to you.

So, does that make a pregnant chick who loses her job and her mother a kung fu master?

Ah, well. I'm sure the version released at GenCon will be better.
