Boots to the head
Mar. 2nd, 2008 02:35 pmOkay, so Friday was the Frantics concert. Thanks go out to
commanderteddog for the heads up and tickets. Yay!
For Dinner, Cynra and I tried to go to The Grand Bombay, only to discover it was now Garam Masala. Which is odd, since I think that's sort of a generic term for warm spices, right? Wouldn't it be like calling an Italian restaurant "Basil and Oregano"?
Anyway, we went to the show. They started with the Roots song and ended with the Boot to the Head Motivational Speaker bit.
Dan Redican did a couple poems dedicated to Mississauga and Hazel. Quite nice. They did the Go Train sketch too. It was a different show than the one we saw at the Hummingbird/Sony centre; they didn't do the Heaven is for Presbyterians sketch, or the extended Mr. Canoehead sketch that tied into it.
The Parians sketch featured Brian Mulroney this time. Paul Chatto did a Audience Feng Shui bit where he'd rearrange various members of the audience. He was heading for me at one point but said "I better not, I think he'd beat me up", which is totally untrue.
Good show, overall.
