Do I really need to cut this stuff?
Okay, so, Benry has a tumor on his spine. He found out about this the day before Oceanic 815 crashed.
What is one of the effects that we have noticed on the island? What does it do to people? It makes them whole. Locke could walk, Rose's disease was cured.
But Benry, who says he's lived on the island his entire life, is going to die of a spinal tumor.
Why? Is there something about him, something different caused by being on the island? Is the tumor a fake, to get Jack to operate on something else?

Date: 2006-11-03 08:14 pm (UTC)Fuck yes you do; my wife and I are 4 discs into season 2, and we don't have cable (or a good internet connection) to keep up on the current season.
Hell, your bloody User Icons have spoiled stuff for me! :)

A tumour occurs when cells do not stop reproducing and repairing themselves.
Overdose ;)

Date: 2006-11-03 11:18 pm (UTC)I agree; he's a Bad Man and The Island doesn't help those that don't help others. Or something like that.

Date: 2006-11-04 05:45 am (UTC)Do you prefer season 1 or season 2? 'Cause almost everyone says season 1 was better, but I was very unimpressed with the show until at least partway through the first year, whereas this season for me has been MUCH more solid.
It's still dishearteningly predictable at times; we just watched DAVE, and I predicted that Dave wasn't real and that they'd imply that Hurley was dreaming up the whole island (though I didn't expect the implication to occur so overtly for another coupla seasons.) Still, I'm not anticipating EVERY revelation like I practically did during season 1, and even when I can predict entire lines of dialogue, it's still a more engaging story than season 1 was, and there are some things that I can't predict at ALL (chief among them: what the fuck is up with the Others?!?)
I think the show is getting better as it goes along (with 6 episodes left to see in season 2), and I'm wondering if you can tell me what you think without spoiling stuff. :)
Thanks.

Date: 2006-11-05 02:49 am (UTC)I liked what they did with Hurley in season 2; he hasn't had much screen time in season 3 yet.
As for the Others, you get a lot more of them in the rest of season 2 and the beginning of season 3.
