Definitely. His job description is not "deal with fans". His job is "produce TV show". Nerd rage is bad enough when you're watching it as a bemused outsider. I shudder to think what it's like when it's coming your way.
The funny thing being that I was just the other day reading an article about how post-modernism has been replaced by pseudo-modernism, and the defining feature of pseudo-modernism is that consumers think they are creators because they voice their opinions by texting in a vote or posting to a forum where the creator is present-ish.
