Um....well, he's probably right, at least in a situation where he doesn't own the property, and doesn't make extra cash from merch, etc.

If Dr. Who was a new creator owned property, he'd be shooting himself in the foot. As it is, he's just doing a sensible thing and avoiding extra stress and headache.

Good for him.

The funny thing being that I was just the other day reading an article about how post-modernism has been replaced by pseudo-modernism, and the defining feature of pseudo-modernism is that consumers think they are creators because they voice their opinions by texting in a vote or posting to a forum where the creator is present-ish.

So watching the freak out is kinda funny.
